Hi.I am a relatively new member and from now on I will work on a journal wich includes events that occured to me.I hope you'll enjoy reading it.
1-11-2002
Me and a couple of friends had a lan party a few days ago and it was great. It was located in one of my friend's bedroom(don't be fooled he has a bigass bedroom) and we were up there for about 4/5 days.We played all sorts of games like starcraft(woot!) halflife and bomberman(that's right bomberman). The guy also has a ps2 in his room and I spent some hours playing final fantasyX.And although the graphics are topnotch,I like the spheregrid and I think Lulu is hot(horny smiley) I am bugged by the fact that it is so lineair.I am aware that it's a turnbased game so in a way it has to be lineair but come on! a radar pointing out where you have to go every single time!.Anyway although I love FFX I just learn to appreciate games that are not lineair at all like GTA3(biggup for Rockstar). At least in Gta3 I can do whatever the f*ck I want.Maybe I just wanna ride around in my cab collecting money and dropping off passengers,or maybe I just wanna wreak havoc on the streets or maybe I just wanna beat up grannies with my baseballbat(or maybe I have serious issues).

So this was my litlle summary of the lan and the games that I've played.

Check again for updates!

I just got back from work and it wasn't bad(maybe that's because I probably have the l33test job ever).Lately I've been playing a lot of snes games on my emulator and I still think the snes is one of the finest consoles ever! When I first introduced the snes emulator on a lan everyone was like "eugh old games" but an hour later everyone was playing super tennis. That is very funny btw when you have Lan with al these technologically advanced games like counterstrike and quake3 and everyone's playing supertennis and Donkey kong country(lol).Anyway chronotrigger is my current favourit and it is absolutely amazing!Turn based never was my thing but chronotrigger completely altered that.

When me and my brother had a snes we were always playing adventures like zelda3 and secret of mana.I was the mapreader and he was the guy that played but I also had a file so i could also play without him.I made sure we had enough supplies(potions, armor, weapons etc.) before encountering a boss and then he tried to kick the bos his *ss(ah the good old days)

Then secret of mana made his way into the scene and we could both play at the same time(this was revolutionary at the time)

This was my little trip down memory lane.

Check for more updates soon.

Well it's sunday today and usually that means one thing:boredom.
I always feel kinda f*cked up on Sundays because there's nothing usefull to do.I think I'll just play some games today and watch tv(exciting huh).Oh I just remembered, there's is not one show worth watching on sunday! When I was young(listen to me I sound like an 80 year old wanker).I used to follow al kinds of shows on t.v now I only follow 2:The sopranos and the simpsons because they both rock:bounce:.

I think I'll just watch Amelie(the french film)today to cheer myself up:cool:
Maybe I'll post something else today.

Just a quick update.

I went to a friends house today and it was quit relaxed.
I have to work tomorrow so I wish you all a good night and see you all tomorrow

Good night!

P.S. I'm listening to the lock stock and two smoking barrels soundtrack:bounce:

4-11-2002.

Hello again.
I was browsing the web yesterday and to my delight I saw that De La Soul is performing near my town on the 25th of november(monday).I immediatelly ordered some tickets and called up my friends if they wanted to come.I must say I'm looking very forward to it and I hope they play some new things as well as the old school sh*t:fro:.Let's face it they are one of the godfathers of hip-hop.One of the batman movies(I can't remember wich one) was one the tv a couple of days ago and it sucked!.It was the one with Arnold Swarzesomething or other as mr. freeze and Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy.Everytime when I see Arnold I can't help but laughing(especially when he starts talking).Uma thurman is cool though, everytime I see her I remember the o.d scene from pulp fiction, that was classic:bounce:

This concludes my monday morning speech and I'll update soon.

Earlier this morning I had a driving test and all the things that could go wrong, went wrong(Murphy's Law).I was a lot more nervous then I usually am and because of that I made la lot of mistakes(although I didn't hit anyone so I think I deserve some credit) :thepimp:

Anyway I hope next time I will be less nervous and more focused(maybe I should stop playing gta3(nahh)).

Bye.

Another day of work gone bye and once again it was relaxed.Yesterday i started categorizing my cd/mp3 collection and I noticed that I have cd's for every mood and that's how I categorize them.
For instance I have my sad sunday afternoon music:The counting crowes,Nick cave, portishead and(some)Radiohead.I listen to this when I'm sad and it really helps me.

Then there's my mood music:Sigur Ros,massive attack and Lamb. This music is always great but especially when I'm in a special mood(I'm not sure what mood).

Also I have my electronic wonderfull music:Kid A,Amnesiac, faithless en the chemical brothers.

Finally there is my pile of the ultimate music:This is(in my humble oppinion)the best music that is out there nowadays:Tool(they rock),A perfect circle,radiohead(o.k.computer) and rage against the machine.

There is a lot more music that I listen to so this is just a part of it.

P.S:If you think that I talk a lot about music you're right.What can I say,I'm an audiofreak:bounce:

I just got back from work in a cheesefactory and it was boring as hell.It is a good thing I think cheese is the best invention since sliced bread otherwise I would not have lasted longer then 4 minutes in there.Luckily friday and saturday I can enjoy my other job(the l33t one) so all in all today is a pretty good day.

I tried to watch t.v yesterday but it was one of those days that absolutely nothing is on!Buffy,Charmed and Angel(the crappy shows) were infesting the screen. And although I think Sarah Michelle Gellar is hot:facelick: Buffy is just gotten worse and worse the last three seasons.Frasier was on(which I think is a good show)but is was so darn late that i decided to go to bed.

If anything exciting happens to me tomorrow(and no doubt it will) I will let you know.

Bye for now.

10-11-2002

It's sunday again and that means a boredom marathon again for me:crying: On a better note:after playing gta3 for hours yesterday I decided to download the whole flashback fm radiostaion in mp3 format and right now I'm listening to the entire scarface soundtrack with commercials and commentary by tony(that sounds sick but it really isn't).I also have lips 106 and chatterbox:bounce:

So I think I'll just spend the day looking at my scarface poster and listening to flashback fm while I repeat the frase"say hello to my little friend" over and over again(exciting huh?).Btw I also have a taxi driver poster and a goodfellas poster(both as big as my door) a godfather poster and a fight club poster. My music section contains one tool poster and one wu-tang clan poster.(that segment was for people who are even remotely interested in the decoration of my room) :hat:

So basically I just spend the whole day acting like I'm the toughest guy in the world when in fact I'm not(more like the toughest guy in the house, after my father and my brother that is)

In conclusion I wish you all a lovely sunday.

13-11-2002

It's been awhile since I last updated because nothing really exciting happened to me the last couple of days.

It was another day of work at the cheesefactory for me only this time I only had to work six hours so it was oke.

Lately I've discovered a trend in the music scene.Garage/punk rock has made an unexpected return. The strokes, the hives, black rebel motorcycle club and the vines. One of my friends is totally into these bands.Sure they have a certain"f*ck authority I'm living my own life attitude" but it doesn't appeal to me that much.Well at least these guys can play.Look at the sex pistols, they had the attitude but they couldn't even play their own instruments!

Anyway I' think I'll just stick to my tool/a perfect circle fetish(Maynard for life).Although I think you should listen to as much different styles of music as you can.

The"give j.lo a what"thread was sweet!Although I think kirbjob is a very crude word to use on the news. Then again it was the fox news so you can expect anything:cool:

That's all folks.

Time for another update:

One of my friends has been chatting a lot with a girl on msn. They agreed to meet in january and I'm curious how this will go down(no pun intended). They exchanged pictures so she knows he is not an ogre and he knows she is not a witch.

A couple of months ago I did the same thing myself.I went to Arnhem with a friend to meet this chinese girl I chatted with on icq.We also mailed frequently and both thought it was time to meet.I had seen a picture of her and I must say she is hot!.I had also sent her a picture but it was very smal and I was in a large group(strategy people, strategy).
It was a very nice day and she made us a lovely traditional chinese dinner(you notice how I don't go into any details?)

It's sunday again and that means(say it with me) boredom marathon!Speaking of boredom did anyone watch the ema's(european music awards) on thursday?I suspected that p.diddy could never be a better host then Ali G(who was brilliant last year) but p.diddy was downright awfull. He made one joke about Wynona Rider wich was funny but other then that he just went for the cheap applause saying things like" Who wants to party, Make some noise,I can't hear you" etc etc.And then there were the awards that just went to the wrong people(in my humble opinion).Kylie Minoque won best dance!!!.I always thought Kylie was pop!!Pink won best song for get the party started(I don't think I have to explain this one).

In conclusion:

I read some of my journal entries and i noticed that I use a lot of bouncing smileys so I will try to kick back on that fetish after this post :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I also use a lot of I(I this and I that) but what can I say I'm a egomaniac

Till next time!

I'm going to see De La Soul live on monday(wich I mentioned earlier)and I must say I'm looking forward to it!They play in the same venue as tool when I heard them live(I'm not the same man since then, simply mind blowing!)

This weekend was pretty much the same as every weekend although there was a party I went to on saturdaynight. It was cool and all my friends were there but I didn't feel like partying(I don't know why).I had worked all day and I was cranky :rpissed:

One of my friends is in Finland for school. He is a 3rd year computer science student and he is working on bluetooth(the nerds know what that is) :nerd:
He left in september and he''l be back on the 1st of february. He is verry bussy because he has to get the program up and running(bluetooth) and go to school and have a social life.I hear there is a party every weekend in Finland so I can't wait to hear the stories when he comes back

I have started a thread(what i believe to be a nice thread) in the main forum called" things you can do in other games and you would love to do in gta3" or something like that.Feel free to post a reply because I think it can be interesting.

That is all.

It's been a while since I posted something so it's time for another update:

Saturday there was a playstation2 marathon at my friends house. There were 5 of us and we had a great time!
We played some tekken tag tournament, ssx tricky and gran tourismo 3.However the real surprise of the evening were the music games!

One of my friends had several demo cd's and we started playing the music games like Parappa the rapper2,Gitaroo man,Frequency and Britney's dance beat :hat:

Boy these games are addictive! There's nothing like trashing one of your friends during britney's dance beat. You throw sarcastic remarks at him while your dancer is clearly outclassing his. :facelick:

We gamed untill 5 o'clock in the morning or so and we were still craving for more music games. If the demo's are so addictive I can only imagine what the whole game will be like :fro:

P.S:I might pick up kingdom hearts soon.I've heard a lot of good things about it and let's face it squaresoft is one of the biggest gamecompanies in the world(number one as far as rpg/adventures are concerned.

P.P.S:There is nothing funnier then watching your friends sing along to the songs while playing britney's dance beat

Well the first christmas day is over.It was pretty much the same as the previous ones wich means:Nothing to do the whole day but eat like a king.My mum(bless her) really goes all out when it comes to preparing meals on christmas day. :facelick:

Menu: - Shrimp cocktail
- Soup
- Rabbit(not roger rabbit)
-Tiramisu(some sort of ice with chocolate mixed with alcohol)

During the meal we had red wine.

All the lovely food made me feel like a hobbit because they also enjoy the finer things in live(just like in The Fellowship Of The Ring)

I also felt like frasier crane(from frasier) because of the fancy food and the red wine.I love that sitcom!

Now I'll wait to see what's on the table second christmas day! :bounce:

I wish everyone from the psx2central forums a very happy christmas! and for those who have been reading my journal I hope you liked reading it as much as I did writing it(that sounded like the cliche to end all cliches)

Have a lovely christmas everyone!

Yet another update:

First of all I like to wish everyone a happy 2003 and I hope the psx2 crew continues to be as tight as they where last year. :fro:

A lot of great games have been released recently(some not so recently) and I want to purchase one but I'm not quiet sure wich one.The getaway sounds promising but a dodgy framerate and nasty controls could spoil that.Kingdom hearts is getting extremely good reviews and I'm very much into the whole squaresoft vibe now.

I borrowed final fantasy X from a good friend of mine and I've downloaded a rom of ff6(it's on the snes)

*Metal gear is bowing down and is chanting biblical things to honour one of the finest consoles that ever graced god's green earth*

I love the snes. :facelick:

The friend I told you guys/girls earlier about is still in Finland and he is coming back on the 1st of february. The ones who read my journal frequently(yes al four of you) remember him.I'm looking more forward to his return every day :bounce:

Nothing interesting is going on later this evening(I think).I watched a tiny bit of that spin of from party of five. It's called time of your life and it's about Sarah(Jennifer Love Hewitt :facelick: ) in the big city.Party of five was a great show and I would love to see how this show does in comparison.

To continue my squaresoft raving:I saw a trailer of ff X-2 and I think they are taking the concept the wrong way.You see yuna with guns(guns for godsake!).Yuna is supposed to summon creatures and heal people not bitchslap them with guns. :nut:
Plus it seems to focus on babes and babes alone. You constantly see chicks in yuna's party and I don't think this will add greatly to the storyline(maybe it will add greatly on the sales) :thepimp:
I'm not saying chicks are bad I'm just saying they shouldn't be the main thing in a final fantasy game.We will see how it turns out.

Anyway I think I'll play a bit more ffX later tonight and then I'll go to bed.

Check again soon.

P.S:I think I have the hots for Lulu :facelick:

A movie update this time. This is for all you movielovers/goers out there.
I'm just gonna put up some funny or good quotes I remember from several movies. If it's not the correct quote don't bitch about it cause my memory isn't so good.So let's begin. What was it that I was gonna do again?

"Shut up you get canned more than tuna bitch" Two guys from good will hunting discussing how one of them lost their job.

Billy Cristal:Oedipus was a Greek king who killed his father and married his mother.
Robert de Niro:Pff...****ing Greeks [From Analyze that].

Some guy:Hey you're Paul Vitti the mobster.
Robert de Niro:Now is that being nice.I'm trying to be nice over here.I mean do I come up to you and say :Hey you're so and so the hard on? [Also Analyze that].

Jules: Hey, sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie but I'd never know 'cause I wouldn't eat the filthy mother****ers. Pigs sleep and root in shit. That's a filthy animal. I ain't eat nothin' that ain't got enough sense to disregard its own faeces.
Vincent: How about a dog? Dogs eat their own feces.
Jules: I don't eat dog either.
Vincent: Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal?
Jules: I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
Vincent: Ah, so by that rationale, if a pig had a better personality, it'd cease to be a filthy animal. Is that true?
Jules: Well we gotta be talkin' about one charmin' mother****in' pig. I mean he'd have to be ten times more charmin' than that Arnold on Green Acres, you know what I'm sayin'? [Pulp Fiction]

"People that talk in metaphores oughta shampoo my croch. [Jack Nicholson in As Good As It Gets].

Billy Cristal:You know normally a patient wouldn't have a vat of schotch during a session.
Robert de Niro:That's an interesting fact I'm gonna have to remember if I'm ever on Jepoardy. [Again Analyze this]

Joe: So, you guys like to tell jokes, huh? Gigglin' and laughin' like a bunch of young broads sittin' in a schoolyard. Well, let me tell a joke. Four guys, sittin' in a bullpen, in San Quentin. All wondering how the **** they got there. What should we have done, what didn't we do, who's fault is it, is it my fault, your fault, his fault, all that bullshit. Then one of them says, hey. Wait a minute. When we were planning this caper, all we did was sit around tellin' ****in' jokes! Get the message? Boys, I don't mean to holler at ya. When this caper's over - and I'm sure it'll be a sucessful one - we'll get down to the Cayman Islands, hell, I'll roll and laugh with all of ya. You'll find me a different character down there. Right now, it's a matter of business. [Reservoir Dogs]

Tony Montana: I have never ****ed over anybody in my life who didn't have it coming to them. All I have in this country is my balls and my word and I don't break 'em for NO ONE. You understand? [Al Pacino in Scarface].

Receptionist: How do you write women so well?
Melvin Udall: Easy. I think of a man, and I take away reason and accountability. [As Good As It Gets].

Tommy DeVito: But, I'm funny how? Funny like a clown? I amuse you? I make you laugh? I'm here to ****in' amuse you? How the **** am I funny? What the **** is so funny about me? [Joe Pesci in Goodfellas].

Dorothy: I've had three lovers in the past four years, and they all ran a distant second to a good book and a warm bath [Renee Zellweger in Jerry Maquire].

Jerry Maguire: Do you want this jacket? I don't need it. I'm cloaked in failure! [Tom Cruise in Jerry maquire.]

Gunnery Sergeant Hartman, Drill Instructor: How tall are you, private?
Private Cowboy: Sir, five-foot-nine, sir!
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman, Drill Instructor: Five-foot-nine, I didn't know they stacked shit that high. [R. Lee Ermey in Full Metal Jacket].

That's all I can think of right now, maybe more to come.

First of all I want to apologize for my lack of updating lately. It's just that nothing really excited happened to me the last few weeks. It's not like I'm a barby boy,in a barby world, life in plastic,it's fantastic, etc.

I'll start with the bad news:I sprained/bruised my left hand.I have no idea how it happened,I just woke up one day ,my hand was all numb and I thought "what the f**k"
It really is a bitch to type with only 1 hand.

On to the good news:My friend from Finland whom I told you about earlier is back in Holland.Joepiee!!
He's been telling me wild stories about his trip and the only thing I could contribute was a "dude really?" or a "you mean it" or a "cool" and ofcourse there is the "I didn't know you could do that with a spoon"

I've discovered an anime show I like.Normally I'm not so into anime but this show just oozes coolness.I consider it to be like the pulp fiction of anime because it's not just about violence,it's also about style, dialogue and last but certainly not least:the music is very good.
The show is called Hellsing and for people who are interested here's the link:

Go to that site and then click on anime in the upper-left corner.

Enjoy.

Time for another update:

My ps2 is f**ked up so I sent it to the company I got it from and they will have a look.Luckily the warranty isn't expired.
So it looks like no more SSX Tricky or THPS 3 with my friends for a while. :crying:

A friend of mine bought frequency last week and when I went over to his house some of my mates were playing it.Unfortunately because of my numb hand(see previous journal entry) I couldn't play it.On the plus-side,I said that that I owned all ass in this game.I bragged so much that at one point one of them said"allright prove it".I ofcourse replied with "I can't because of my hand" :fro:

Update time!

A lot has been going on the last 5 weeks.

First of all I've got my driver's license, woohoooooo!!!!
I made it the first try.
I now just grab any excuse to use my dad's car and drive over the freeway while listening to Queens Of The Stone Age. :thepimp:
Too bad I don't have a convertible otherwise I could drive it while saying too myself "We can drive through the city no doubt but don't say my car's topless, say the titties is out. :fro:

I sent my ps2 to the company I've got it from and it's been away for 2 weeks now.I don't miss it as much as I thought I would and to be honest I didn't really play that much anyway.
I'll be glad when it's back though.

I saw an add today that said Nintendo would release a Windwaker pack.
Content:
-One silver gamecube
-One controller
-The game Zelda the windwaker
-The bonus disc wich includes the upgraded version of Ocarina of time and a new ocarina of time with bigger dungeons and more objectives!

Maybe I'll pick this up when it hits stores the 3rd of may.
I always was a fan of nintendo but the n64 was a big flop imo.The gamecube doesn't have many great games but the games that are great are REALLY great. So with Zelda,Metroid prime,SSBM and Resident evil 0 all waiting for me to play them I'll think about it.
Plus the gamecube is pretty cheap and the games excel in playability.Let's face it,70% of whether a game is good or not depends on the playability.Just look at the SNES.It had great games with enourmous playability and I consider it to be one of the best consoles EVER.

The friend I told you about in previous entries(remember),met someone in Finland and now that he's back, the someone he's met is coming to Holland the 5th of April untill the 19th.I spoke with her on msn and she seems really nice.I can't wait to meet her in person!

I have mixed feelings about this war in Iraq.War means victims and ofcourse I am against it.But on the other hand I think Bush gave Saddam plenty of time and if Bush did nothing he would look stupid(pun intended).I just hope Saddam is delt with quick so the people in Iraq can get on with their lives. The rest of this political heat I will release in the political forum and I will not bore you with it here.

So long for now and check back soon.
