Sniper rifle, where can I get it?

I can't get it from ammunation yet, so I'm wondering if it can be found lying around elsewhere on the map like most other weapons.

So assuming it CAN be found on the map, where will it be?

The regular sniper rifle (w/o the pimp laser scope) can be
found at Diaz's mansion, in the maze of shrubs. If you enter
the maze, coming from the front of the house, it's on the right
hand corner. It's easiest to see from a helicopter.

Thanks, but what difference is there between the regular sniper rifle, and the one with the so called pimp laser scope?

A fun factor of about 5. ;)
Nothing really...I'm not sure if one zooms farther or not.
The laser scoped rifle (MP5 or something? I forget its' name)
might reload a tad faster, though.

I like the laser scope, because the little red dot "lights up" when
you're on someone's head/body. But if you zoom too far, or
are looking at an object too far away, your dot disappears, and
it is guess work from there...the other sniper rifle maintains
a dot in the middle, so you know where you are shooting all
the time.

Oh, and the regular rifle is like $1500, the other one $6000 or so.

John, to answer your question,the Laser scope rifle doesnt zoom in any further then the other but it does reload way quicker. Its practically semi-automatic. Its fires like the pistol.

i've found out the different ammunation stores sell different weapons. The one in downtown (nearest to the hyman condo) sells the PSG1...same sniper rifle used in MGS 1 & 2.

If you want the Scope Rifle to generate at your mansion. I think it was 60-70 hidden packages you need to get.

Proud, that must be the PSG1. The regular sniper rifle was
at the mansion...even before it became my mansion.

Also, cerberus (sp?), if the gun is out of stock, you haven't
gotten far enough yet/earned enough $$$.

It doesn't matter now, I have collected enough hidden packages to allow me to get it from the hotel. I must have spent an hour or so just popping heads. It's best when you shoot drivers through the car windscreen, they get out of the car, then fall to the ground and twitch a bit before saying goodnight vienna.

I think there's PGS1 on the roof of building. south from Hyman Condo. found it while flying with chopper.

Thats the roof of the cubans. I think its the cubans. Whichever person u do the missions in the restaurant. Only way to get to it is by helocopter.(at least to my knowledge)

the laser sighted one is an uber-pimp weapon :D It reloads so much more quickly and the shots seem to be more powerful. I completed the last mission with it by creeping up behind a certain person and firing off rounds real quick into their head
