With all the newbies signing up it would probably be wise to giive them an easy to see dierect link to the main page from each forum

well there is the link at the bottom and most of the people probaly get there from the main page when they first come here

I don't think a little advertising could hurt. I say go for it. The maiin page is a fine page indeed!
