Yep, rumor states taht Sony talked to 989 studios last week about there current state of making games, and some of the Sony higher ups were very angry about how 989 is performing, from Crash BandicootPS2, Gameday 2001, and others.

Sony expects to give 989 new developing kits very soon, and Sony expects them to make all these games for 2002 go out with a bang.

This news comes from someone who was at the Sony unveiling party of 2002, were they showed alot of games for PS2, and heard the talks.

But I do believe that this information is 100% true.

Take this for what you will, but it does sound like Sony.

Sony is ready for war.

989 Studios just didn't have the time to tweak their PS2 version of Gameday. Plain and simple. A half baked meal never tasted good and this game certainly was aweful from the criticisms I've heard.
